You failed to mention that the Bush administration went before congress in 2003 and again in 2005 to warn of the upcoming crisis. Secy of Treasury Snow was dressed down by B. Frank and other dems for his indiscreet language that was apt to freightening the markets. Frank assured us that Fannie and Freddie were more than sound. Meanwhile, the dems threatened banks with punishment if they didn't make the unqualified loans. All documented with quotes on Fox. You must be democrat. Had banking standards not been drasticly lowered by the Clinton administration's strong-arm tactics, none of this sub-prime mess would have occured.As long as Democrats ignore the origins of the crisis, we will never be able to correct the systemic problems.
