Why can't the entire FIRE sectors have their ENTIRE(including pensions & offshore) assets swapped for derivatives of equal notional value, i.e. their former private assets are now public property and the derivative chits are theirs to keep to maturity. Those not self employed could be put on the national minimum hourly wage rate with the difference made up in derivative chits. If you really want to solve this mess pronto--pay the armed services (especially those serving o.s.)in derivative chits + minimum wage. This would guarantee that wall street would be annhilated, i.e. put out of existence.WALL STREET IS AMERICAS AUSCHWITZ. It does not need reforming, it requires dismantling via obliteration. So when you hear that the mess is being cleaned up (rescue, bailout, bullshit), think of shower time at Auschwitz for Joe Citizen.Commodities? Bullets for bankers and financiers into fertilizer so that they make a belatedly, one off, genuine contribution to society and permanent removal from the human gene pool.

An act of parliament(or congress)does not make a person honest.
