Foreign Flows Important to Balance the Books
The global credit crisis has moved South Africa’s dependency on global capital flows to centre stage, especially as the country’s risk rating has been downgraded by three of the world’s four large credit-rating agencies. Given South Africa’s high current account deficit, this news is cause for concern.

Donald Coxe – Investment Recommendations (November 2008)
The November edition of Donald Coxe’s monthly investment report, entitled “Basic Points”, has just been published and is shared in this post. Although he argues that it will be a long time before complacency returns, he is of the opinion that the “era of fear” will probably end soon.
