Instead, it rose together with the US stock exchange. The next few weeks will see whether this news has already been priced in the Singapore Stock market.

Record fall in Q1 GDP for Singapore but if one tracked the stock market after the news was announced, you will realise that the Singapore Stock Market did not trend downwards after the news was released. A Diagonal Triangle in virtually every stock index and ETF irrefutably signals dramatic (upside) reversal ahead, but only after the plunge below the March lows. Of all technical structures, Diagonals provide the most tradable information of any pattern. Of course, once we plunge below the March lows, the Market will likely go into a Panic, just like it did last year when Bear Stearns and Lehman Brothers bit the dust. Its like a downwards spiral, when progressively lower stops snowball into an avalanche. While the bottom may not be in until June or July, the second half of the year will closely parallel 1982, when stocks led by small caps soared. Like to the rally within the greater Bear Market that occurred between 2002-2007, we can expect a similar rally, yet because of far greater Fiscal and Monetary stimuli compounding each other, the Mother of all Rallies will appear like a Bull Market on steroids and speed, lasting at least two years.
