In fact the 200 day EMA is resistence and the 50 day EMA is support.  Why use EMA?  It minimizes the influence of the &quot;high&quot; days from last Sept &amp; early Oct, before the cliff plunge.  Go to BigCharts and try it.  Then do the same for DJIA, DJTA, RUT and (the only exception) NASDAQ.
