Davos: Kick-off of the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa

Is the 2010 FIFA World Cup that will take place in South Africa in June/July the big moment South Africa has been waiting for to again unite as a nation and take its rightful place on the world stage in the broader context? Is this going to be another “1995 moment” (when South Africa won the rugby World Cup, as recorded in the movie “Invictus”)? I believe the tournament certainly represents an opportunity of enormous proportions.

Speakers featured in this footage from Davos include President Jacob Zuma and soccer stars Lucas Radebe and Mark Fish.
