I’m back!
I am finally back home in Cape Town after a trip to Europe, specifically to London and Geneva. The business and leisure side of the visit was excellent and enjoyable, and I met with a combination of old acquaintances and new friends (including a dozen or so Investment Postcards readers). On top of that I was blessed with glorious sunshine in London − and we all know how the mood over there perks up when the dreariness makes way for a sunlit sky. Talking about mood, irrespective of the good weather, the sentiment among the 15 investment managers with whom we had interviews remains dismal, especially as they expect more bad news from Europe and are particularly concerned about Spain – the big elephant in the room – defaulting. However, with such a loud growl of bears the markets may be ready for a bounce within a few days, but more about that in future posts. Regarding posts, my blogging endeavors came to a halt during my travels but don’t despair, I will resume the service by not later than Thursday. I thoroughly enjoy sharing my ideas with readers, but also have business and diplomatic responsibilities that require a rightful allocation of my time. Anyway, I am still alive and kicking and almost back in blogging business. 2 comments to I’m back!Leave a Reply | |||||||||||

Welcome back! Did you notice any changes in your travels? Anything positive? If I sound desperate, it’s because I’m worried about the future.
It was a great pleasure to meet you in London. Thank you for taking the time out during your busy schedule. I also made some good contacts during the soiree, so it was an enriching event.
