US: More earnings; data on tap
Toyota, Dow, Disney, Kraft and AIG head the earnings list. Investors will get data on auto and retail sales, factory orders, joblessness and consumer sentiment. The Senate debates the energy bill, and the NFL training camps open.

Europe: Interest rate announcements
HSBC, BNP-Paribas, Société Générale and other banks report earnings. The Bank of England and the European Central Bank announce their latest interest rate decisions.

Asia: Focus on Toyota, Cathay Pacific
Earnings results from Toyota and Cathay Pacific, Hong Kong’s flagship air carrier, will provide perspective about global consumer demand. Australia’s central bank is expected to keep interest rates steady.
