Part 1: Introduction

UVA’s Darden School of Business dean Robert Bruner and McIntire School of Commerce dean Carl Zeithaml welcome the participants and guests. Dean Bruner speaks on “Reset vs. Recovery: Contrasting Points of View of the Economic Outlook Facing Investors”.

Part 2: James Grant

James Grant, founder of Grant’s Interest Rate Observer, delivers a keynote address on “Reset or Recovery? The Macroeconomy and Value Investing”.

Part 3: Stephen Roach

Stephen Roach, non-executive Chairman of Morgan Stanley Asia, discusses “The Next China: Implications for Asia and the Global Economy”.

Part 4: Chris Whalen

Chris Whalen, co-founder of Institutional Risk Analytics, on “Understanding and Profiting from the Next Banking Crisis”.

Part 5: Whitney Tilson

Whitney Tilson, founder and a managing partner of T2 partners LLC, discusses “Our Macro View and How It Impacts Our Portfolio Construction”.

Part 6: Investing Roundtable

The final event of the 2010 Value Investing Conference consisted of a discussion with the Investor Round Table. Members of the Round Table were Lisa O’Dell Rapuano, Richard Mayo, Donald Wilkinson III, Fred Sands Jr. and Robert Smith.

Part 7: Roundup

Richard Mayo does a presentation that summarizes the two-day conference. Darden dean Robert Bruner wraps up the event with his closing remarks.
