Hedge fund manager Douglas Kass of Seabreeze Partners defends his bearish calls during the 2010 rally and tells CNBC he sees opportunities in commodities going forward.
Doug Kass is a very astute trader (and one who isn’t afraid to admit being wrong – he has admitted it long before this segment aired on CNBC). But remember, he (like Dennis Gartman) sometimes makes calls that are only for the very short term, while most listener’s are thinking he’s making longer term calls (LT being several months or more!).
Has anyone seen Kass’ track record. It could not possibly be good. He has been managing Seabreeze for well over 15 years and still has not managed to gather enough assets to be required to file a 13f. And that’s just $100M.

I am inclined to agree, but am running out of patience!
Anyone who thinks technical analysis is voodoo, as Kass does, is way overrated…
