funny how he has been right in his understanding of what is going on and his predictions of likely outcomes….
Just as there are rightwing think-tanks that churn out complete versions of new laws to be passed by legislatures, it would appear that rightwing “humor” factories churn out disinformation, misdirection, and malevolent political objectives under the guise of “humor” in poisonous cartoons.
Regarding his calls. I put Krugman’s calls down to luck. Making calls is almost abjectly removed one’s doctrine. You get Middle of the road people like Rosenberg and Grantham who have made much more precise calls. And then you get die hard Austrians like Schiff and Faber… who also called the crisis… and various other calls.
The fact that Krugman recently said that if only the earthquake on the East coast had done more damage, it would have been better for the economy… is both disgusting and does not address Bastiat’s Broken Window Fallacy.
